Cute Playmates

Okay so I should probably start with a warning that I have no idea what I am going to say in this post. I had one of those mornings where I just had to fight against myself to stay in a good mood. For no reason. Nothing bad or frustrating was happening. Actually I woke up to a house that had been cleaned by my awesome hubby. I had a good bible study time with some girls that I love. My kids were being sweet and playful. Somehow, though, every time I turned around I would just fighting back negativeness--and as a general rule I try to focus on the positive. I remembered a bible study I did a couple of months ago by Lisa Terkeurst (Becoming more than just a good bible study girl) where she said, "Thanksgiving is the secret to attitude adjustment." So I finally motivated myself to put the kids down for a nap and I did what I should have done when I started feeling the "ehhks" and started praying. I started the prayer with things that I am thankful for and wouldn't you know that as soon I did that....my ehhhk attitude started turning around. Seriously. I felt like an idiot for not doing it earlier in the morning. Of course this little cutie is one of the things I am thankful for!
We had farm day in her KDO class this week so Lilly was sporting her boots.
I am also thankful for little man too.
He dumped these out and they both said, "Ohhhh!" at the same time.
They are starting to play together really well. I love that!
Reid had his first time-out the other day. It was hilarious. He just sat there all smiles--like "finally!" I guess he had been wanting to try it out since he sees Lilly in there.
LOVE these two! Thankful for these two happy, healthy, loving kids of mine. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

They are so cute! It is precious that they are playing together- I know it makes your heart happy.

I have been reading Growing Grateful Kids by Susie Larson. It is such a great book. It is all about being thankful and teaching your kids to be thankful through your actions. I highly recommend it to any mommy. She is an amazing Christian mom & author.

Glad you had prayer time to make you feel better! :)

It is true that we have so much to be thankful for! There is always someone is a worse situation and I even think about those who don't know Christ as their savior. I cannot imagine getting through the struggles of life without the Lord as my best friend!
