Fireworks & Sunday Fun

Sunday we got to go to a Karate Birthday party for Corbin.  It was definitely entertaining.  Ha!
Then the kids took a quick car nap before we headed to the a play area at the local outdoor mall.  Lilly and Reid played in the fountain for a little while.

Then we met our friends (the Trumbos--Lisa is representing in the picture above, and Natasha in the photo below) at the Mellow Mushroom for pizza.  After that we headed to our church's annual Fireworks at the Crosses event.  We are always out of town for this event so we were really excited to be able to go this year!  Before the fireworks there were 101 people baptized!!

We loved getting to see and hang out with lots of fun friends.  The Lord has blessed our family with so many sweet friends and we are so thankful!
 Hanging out on Daddy.
Getting ready.  This boy was tired and gave lots of snuggles while waiting.  It was fabulous.
 The crosses.  So beautiful.

Matt was worried Reid would be scared of the loud noises and I had to laugh because he is louder than any firework!  Ha!  Then when we got there we sat next to the speakers and he was doing this because he didn't like that the music was so loud and I was getting a little concerned too.  Thankfully the firework noise didn't bother him at all!

This is the first time we have taken the kids to see fireworks when they have been old enough to remember them so we were all excited!
 They started...
and Lilly LOVED them.  I didn't get a picture of Reid because he was on my lap but he loved them, too.
And the fireworks were SO good.  Lilly kept telling me she had to go potty and I kept saying, "I think this is finale!"  And then 20 minutes later they were still going on!  Ha!

There is just something special about the fireworks going off over the crosses.  It was really just beautiful and special.

What a fun day. The fireworks look so cool behind the crosses. It is wonderful that your church does this.
