Lilly & Reid's First Program

Well on May 17th Lilly and Reid had their first "school" program.  Reid's Kid's Day Out class came out and sang, "Jesus Loves Me" and "This Little Light of Mine."
Reid, however, looked up at all the lights on the stage.  I thought it was pretty cute even if he didn't sing a word or do any motions.  They said during practice they would ask if he was going to sing with them and he would say, "Nope!"  However it wasn't wasted energy on the teachers' part because he loves to sing them at home!
They got to tie-dye their own shirts.  Reid, of course, wanted his to be blue.  That is always the color he picks if he has a choice!  (:  When Reid's teacher talked about him she said he wants to be a farmer.  That made me laugh but I know it is because he LOVES LOVES LOVES all farm animals!
Lilly's class sang scripture songs that included Philippians 4:13, Zachariah 4:6, Proverbs 3:5-6, and Jeremiah 33:3.  I actually teach this to her class and my KDO class together.  It was kind of hard because I was up there leading it for both classes but I kept catching myself watching Lilly.  She did SO GREAT!  I was a proud Mommy!!  I was also a proud teacher because both classes did super!
This is the part where they sing, "Oooo"

Taking a singing break to play with the pigtails.  (:
Ok so this makes me smile every. single. time.  When they sing Jeremiah 33:3, they are supposed to hold up three fingers and make them bounce.  Lilly holds up four fingers every time and sings, "firty-free-free"--it warms my heart!!
And this is my favorite.  This is her eyes closed worshiping for just a few seconds.  PRECIOUS!!
And then Matt took this picture of her playing with a puzzle after her performance!

Sounds like a cute program. I have always found that when dealing with kids programs, no matter what they do, everyone thinks it is cute.
