Happy 4th of July!

We had a pretty good fourth!! Reid was very patriotic in his flag outfit.

We were at DeDe's and "Miiiiikes" house.

We spent the majority of the day swimming at the pool.

This little girl is like a fish! She was in the water much longer than any of the other children there. She just played and played.

Which must have worn her out because she took over a 4 hour nap!!! It was a record-long nap in our house!!

But it worked out because she was good and energized for the fireworks! Reid, on the other hand, was asleep at DeDe and Mikes. He just couldn't make it! Lilly ended up loving the fireworks. I was shocked that the noise never bothered her at all. She watched at the beginning and then got a little distracted by a little girl that was behind us in the middle and then was hooked again at the finale. She kept going "ooohhh" and "wow"! Haha. When the fireworks were over, she kept pointing the sky and saying "more, more, more". She was getting a little frustrated that they were over so we had to go home and find some on tv. When she saw them on tv, she was pretty happy about it!! All in all, we had a perfect fourth!
Unfortunately, while we celebrated the fourth of July here, my best friend in high school's little brother was killed in Afghanistan. He was only 20 and recently married..he had only been over there for 3 weeks. I hate to totally ruin the mood of this post but I know that his whole family could really use your prayers! My heart just aches for them and I can't even imagine what they are going through right now. Please lift them up in prayer!

oh my gosh that's so sad about your friend's brother and to only be there 3 weeks. It's just horrible. I feel like I take our freedom for granted one too many times. It makes me sad!

It looks like a wonderful fourth!!

I love the kids in their cute outfits!!

I am so sorry about the loss of your brothers friend. I will be praying for them and their family. All service members are so dear to my heart. It is amazing the sacrifices they make for us!

Oh my. That is horrible about your friend's brother. We often forget the sacrifice of service men and their families.
Love the kiddos big smiles! They are precious!
