Pajama Train

One of the 25 days of Christmas activities I have been SO excited about was the Pajama Train!  I booked it at the beginning of November but didn't tell the kids until that day.
So Thursday night was the night!  We all hopped into our pajamas and loaded the train.  Lilly said, "Mommy the train is waiting just for us!"  The kids were SO EXCITED!
The conductor put his hat on Lilly.  Before we left Lilly and Reid kept saying, "We don't hear the train!"  Or, really in Lilly's southern accent, "the tray-yen".  Ha.  I love it.  When we started going and the train whistle blew...
we were ready to, "Choo! Choo!" right along with them.
"Choo!  Choo!"
Matt and Reid sat on one side of the table.  We decided to go "first class" since they had tables and we just didn't think we could handle the kids on a bench for 3 hours.  And it was supposed to be a great deal.
Lilly sat next to me!  They did so good staying in their seats.
They served a yummy dinner.  There was some kind of stuffed chicken wrapped in bacon.  Right up my alley!  (:
The kids enjoyed the rolls the most.
They served pumpkin pie or pecan pie cobbler for dessert.  Lilly ate a whole piece of pumpkin pie by herself.  I had the pecan pie cobbler and it was delicious.
Lilly was most excited about her CAN of Sprite.  She thought she was so big with her own can.  And of Sprite no less.
Santa came through the train too.  He gave the kids a candy cane and took a picture with them.  Lilly was hysterical yelling, "Santa!  Hey Santa!  Santa!"
 He also tickled Reid.
Lilly made friends with the little boy behind us.
And they loved pointing out all of the things outside as we passed by them...like the Christmas lights...or counting the cars that went by.
To be honest, this wasn't all that it was advertised to be.  It was supposed to be 3 hours and 15 minutes and it was only an hour and a half.  They made a mistake with our ticket and we ended up having to pay for it.  There was also supposed to be "caroling and many fun surprises" and there wasn't.  However, the kids didn't know about any of that and they LOVED every second of it.  They had a blast and I am so glad that we went.  Either way, I just love making memories with these two little cuties!
