We Will Miss Aunt Laverne

Well on Monday evening Matt's Great Aunt Laverne passed away. Today is the funeral. Please pray for peace, comfort, and strength for Matt's family...especially his Granddaddy as this was his sister and they were very close. Aunt Laverne was such a fun lady and we really thought that she would out live us all.

She was so social and just as sweet as she could be to everyone she met. She was quite the hostess! She always had a full spread and would not let ANY guest lift a finger to help.

She LOVED our sweet babies and was an avid reader of this blog. I always thought it was so nice of her to care about our day to day life.

She was always positive and had a compliment just waiting for you! She really made everyone around her feel special and loved.

She was one of the most generous people I have ever met. When my sister threw my baby showers, she called her personally each time to thank her for caring enough about us to throw us a shower and explained how much that meant to her.

She has the most beautiful soul and we miss her SO MUCH already!

"Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus dies and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him." 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14

I was reading in my bible today and came across this verse. Now I know there are probably better verses out there to communicate this (and there is more to the verse) but the point is that even though we miss her very much we WILL get to see her again one day because we know the Truth about Jesus!! Our family takes great comfort in this.
